Perfect Relationships Don’t Exist (Unless you Grow and Develop Together)

Perhaps this is the problem. That you are looking for the ideal. In fact, we all live in an imperfect world full of imperfect people – and only them. A knight in shining armor does not always come to the rescue of a beautiful lady. A stern and courageous cowboy does not always leave for the sunset to a beautiful song, having put the love of his life in the saddle.
And since there are no ideal people, there are no ideal relationships. This is a lie, a fake, a collective hallucination, created for centuries by writers, artists and romantics. Real mothers do not clean up in spiky dresses and high-heeled shoes, and fathers are not always right. These stereotypes of ideality and perfection became obsolete a long time ago (and even then, when they were created, they were not particularly realistic). So stop trying to translate into reality the conventional wisdom of ideal relationships … because such relationships simply don’t exist!
Oftentimes, unrealistic expectations can ruin your life, especially when it comes to romantic relationships. In search of the perfect prince or princess on a white horse, you may well pass by a person with whom you could really happily live your entire life. Why relationships shouldn’t (and can’t) be perfect
In a truly good relationship, there are always at least some disagreements between partners. Because if they are not at all, it means one thing – some of them are not completely honest with themselves. In fact, these disagreements are almost inevitable, since you and your partner have different life experiences, thoughts, ideas, and even dreams. This is what makes each of you a unique and inimitable person.
But the real problems begin when the view of one of the partners on what the relationship should be between them turns out to be completely unrealistic, and this partner tries by any means to adjust his “soul mate” to this view. In healthy relationships, people understand that even though they are now together, they must respect each other’s individuality. And if you enter into a relationship with the explicit intent to change your partner in accordance with your ideas about the ideal, it can only lead to disaster.
You will always have at least some problems and disagreements in personal relationships. But by working together to overcome them, you strengthen the bond between you and prevent stagnation in the relationship by helping it grow and move forward.
